2024 Session Dates & Info

  • Registration is to be completed by Court personnel: https://go.osu.edu/nwcarteens

  • The fee to participate in the NWO 4-H CARTEENS program will be $25.00 per offender.  The $25.00 (cash, no checks, no credit) is due at registration before you are permitted to participate in the program.  Receipts and certificate of attendance provided. This fee is separate from your court fees. The court does not collect the CARTEEN fee.
  • The 4-H CARTEENS Program registration will begin 15 minutes prior to start time.  Door will be unlocked at this time.   Youth arriving late will be considered absent from the sessions and said absence will be reported to the respective County Juvenile Court.  Youth will then receive instructions from the court regarding appearance at a further court hearing. 
  • CELL PHONES:  Cell phones are not permitted to be in use during session and may or may not be collected prior to session beginning.
  • Number of Participants:  Only the participant will be allowed to enter the session.  All others are asked to wait in the car.  
  • No one will be allowed to leave during the break or at any time before the session is completed.  If participant leaves, they will be reported to their respective County Juvenile Court.  The $25.00 fee will not be refunded and you will be required to appear for a further court hearing.  
  • Respectable behavior is required at all times during the 4-H CARTEENS Program session. Juvenile traffic offenders exhibiting unruly, disrespectful or uncooperative behavior shall be removed from the session and reported to their respective County Juvenile Court following the 4-H CARTEENS Program.  Anyone removed from the session will receive instructions from the Court regarding a further court hearing. 
  • Test:  At the end of the session there will be an examination given which each youth must pass with a minimum of 75% in order to successfully complete the program.  Failure to pass the exam will necessitate repetition of the program. Grades and attendance will be sent to your County Juvenile Court.  Please notify the coordinator should you need assistance with the test.
  • In case of inclement weather, the coordinator will contact you via the phone number on your registration.

Directions

From Bryan:  (Approximately 15 miles - Allow 25 minutes)

  • Start out going south on US-127/OH-15/OH-2
  • Continue to follow OH-15 towards Defiance Ohio
  • Turn left on OH-15 at Ney, Ohio
  • Turn left onto Evansport Rd.
  • Evansport Road is on the curve just past the airport
  • If you reach Buckskin Rd you've gone a little too far
  • 06879 EVANSPORT RD is on the right. If you reach Schick Rd you've gone too far

 

From Defiance: (Approximately 6 miles – Allow 15 minutes)

  • OH-15/OH-18 towards Bryan, Ohio
  • Turn slight right onto OH-15 (Culligan Water Store on right)
  • Turn right onto Evansport Rd. Evansport Rd is just past Buckskin Rd
  • If you reach the Defiance County Airport – you’ve gone too far.
  • 06879 EVANSPORT RD is on the right. If you reach Schick Rd you've gone too far

From Napoleon: (Approximately 20 miles – Allow 30 minutes)

  • Merge onto US-24 W
  • Take the OH-15/OH-18 exit, EXIT 25, toward Defiance/Bryan.
  • Turn right onto Ralston Ave/OH-15/OH-18. Continue to follow OH-15/OH-18. 
  • Turn slight right onto OH-15. (Culligan Water Store on right)
  • Turn right onto Evansport Rd. Evansport Rd is just past Buckskin Rd
  • If you reach the Defiance County Airport – you’ve gone too far.
  • 06879 EVANSPORT RD is on the right. If you reach Schick Rd you've gone too far

From Wauseon: (Approximately 30 miles – Allow 40 minutes)

  • Merge onto US-24 W
  • Take the OH-15/OH-18 exit, EXIT 25, toward Defiance/Bryan.
  • Turn right onto Ralston Ave/OH-15/OH-18. Continue to follow OH-15/OH-18. 
  • Turn slight right onto OH-15. (Culligan Water Store on right)
  • Turn right onto Evansport Rd. Evansport Rd is just past Buckskin Rd
