Up Coming Events for 2008
Dining with Diabetes -
A school for people with diabetes. This three session program is open to anyone with diabetes, or anyone who has a family member with diabetes. Classes will include demonstrations on how to prepare meals that are healthy and use less fat, salt and sugar without cutting taste. There will be an opportunity to taste a variety of main dishes, side dishes and desserts. Cost is $10 per family. Classes begin April 22, 2008. Registration Information.
Food Safety -
- ServSafe for the Person in Charge Training - A one day training for any food service employee or person in charge of special events will better understand their role in food safety. Cost is $35 per participant. Next class is Tuesday, May 20, 2008, 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm, here at the OSU Extension Office. Registration Information.
- Occasional Quantity Cooking - A Food Safety class for people preparing quantity food for churches, fairs, festivals. Next class TBA.

ServSafe for Food Managers - A Food Safety Program for food service managers. Next class TBA.
Annie's Project -
Helping farm women develop their management and decision-making skills in the complex, dynamic world of agriculture. All classes will be held on Thursdays and will begin at 1:00pm and end at 4:00pm. Cost is $60. Classes begin February 7, 2008. Registration Information.
Parent Enrichment Classes -
Parenting classes are offered on a regular basis. Please call to see which class is currently being offered or to register for an upcoming program. All parenting classes are held in our meeting room.
- 1,2,3,4, Parent - Parenting Program for parents of children 1 thru 4 years of age. Cost $30.

Parenting Young Children - Helpful strategies based on Systematic Training for Effective Parenting for parents of children under 6. Cost $30. Next class TBA. Please call 419-782-4771 or 1-800-745-4771 for more information and to register for this four session parenting class.

H.O.P.E (Helping Others with Positive Experiences) A seven week supportive program for families with children 11 and older. Cost $20.
Money Management -
First Thursday of each month Pre-discharge Bankruptcy Education, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Ohio State University Extension. Fee is $50 per individual or family. The New$tart Program is approved to provide the pre-discharge education required before a bankruptcy can be discharged.
